Cherry Prosecco Spritz

The Australian spritz category is on a roll… and no wonder, fruit infused sparkling wines are just the thing for our Aussie summers. Add a little lateral thinking, recognition of the NSW Hilltops and Young as the nation’s cherry capital and chats with the neighbouring BackCreek Orchard – and say hello to the inaugural FREEMAN Cherry Prosecco Spritz.

It’s a ‘love local’ collaboration and blend of the Hilltops finest prosecco grapes infused with the juice of plump ripe cherries. Lighter in alcohol, a bright cherry hue, it refreshes to the very last sip.

WINEMAKING

Made from a particular parcel of dry-grown later ripening estate prosecco grapes, the fully mature, generous bunches were gently pressed and the juice drained and fermented in stainless steel vats. The secondary charmat fermentation created the sparkling wine, which was dosaged with a small addition of pure captivating cherry juice.

FREEMAN CHERRY PROSECCO SPRITZ is a seductive cherry red-hued zingy sparkling wine displaying a fine, streaming effervescence and gently melded palate flavours of savoury cherry combined with characteristic prosecco-style notes of crisp apple and pear. Refreshing, fun and super-sippable!
